Winning!

The short film I wrote and produced last year (Men of Persuasion) took home the “Best Western North Carolina Film” award at this year’s Asheville Cinema Festival. Pretty excited for us. I was lucky to be able to work with some of the finest filmmakers in Asheville, North Carolina and am proud to share this award with them.

Men of Persuasion

I like movies… a lot. I’ve worked on several independent film projects over the years and have always wanted to make my own. So this past Spring I put the finishing touches on my latest short screenplay and teamed up with Asheville’s finest director, Paul Schattel (Sinkhole, Alison, The Mourning Portrait) and we set out to make it happen. The result is Men of Persuasion which is now entering the last leg of post production. Needless to say I’m very excited about this project and seeing it get out  there.

We’re trying to get the buzz machine ramped up ahead of hitting the festival circuit so be sure to check out the trailer, like our Facebook page, and follow us on Twitter. I’m also trying to raise the last bit of cash needed to finish up the post production (apparently making a movie is really expensive). Check out our project on IndieGoGo… even if you can’t donate, helping us spread the word is just as valuable right now. So feel free to liberally reblog, like, tweet, shout to the heavens, etc.

Cheerios!
